The Yogi Vemana University, College Development Council was established in the year 2010 as per decision of the Executive Council of the University and Ordinance of the University for the purpose of better coordination between the university and the affiliated colleges for their integrated development and academic governance. The College Development Council is the apex body of the institution that plans and executes developmental activities. It serves as the vital link between the University Grants Commission, the State Higher Education Department, the regulatory bodies like Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, NCTE, BCI etc., the University and the affiliated Colleges. The main function of the College Development Council is to advise the University on all matters relating to development of affiliated Colleges and to act as a co-ordinating body between the UGC and the affiliated Colleges for getting developmental grants from UGC to the Colleges and for rising of standard of learning, teaching and other activities of the colleges. In consultation with the University the CDC shall take all such steps as it may think fit for the promotion, Coordination and elevating the Standards of education in colleges. The CDC office deals with the matters related to affiliations, approvals, appointment of faculty in affiliated colleges, admissions, transfer of students, no objection, no dues, combination of attendance, return of matriculations etc. in consultation with Vice-Chancellor’s office for approval. The procedure and proformas regarding affiliations, approvals, admissions, have been put on CDC portal so that the affiliated colleges may download these whenever there is requirement.
